About Doug - Senior ChiRunning & ChiWalking Instructor

​Running has been one of my passions for over 30 years!  Running gives me an outlet to release my stress and get recharged.  When I run, I reconnect with myself, clear my mind, refocus, and get centered within myself.


I want to be able to keep running and walking my whole life long.  Yes, I truly believe this is possible, for you, and me through the help of ChiRunning and ChiWalking!


Walking and running amidst the sights, sounds, and smells in nature are so relaxing and therapeutic!  For me, this provides a great way to unwind from the fast paced hustle and bustle of the day.  I love being able to run and hear the birds singing or the sound of flowing brook.  What a wonderful experience it is to run through a meadow seeing and smelling beautiful wildflowers.  Once on a run, I saw a great horned owl swoop down a few feet ahead of me.  Now that was an awesome sight to behold! 


I have also experienced so many physical benefits as a result of running and walking as well.  With ChiRunning and ChiWalking, I am making an investment in my health!  Being able to run and walk has helped to lower my cholesterol, keep depression away, maintain my weight, and have my heart in good shape.  Running and walking are also great weight bearing exercises to strengthen our bones to help prevent osteoporosis.  
 

Another passion of mine is teaching and helping people!  With ChiRunning and ChiWalking, I would like to help you keep running and walking your whole life long also.  I am so thankful to Katherine and Danny Dreyer and the other Certified ChiRunning/ChiWalking Instructors for sharing the gift of ChiRunning and ChiWalking with me.  Now, as a Certified Instructor, I would like to share this gift with you.
